A college student who was on his way to appear for an examination was killed in an accident in a village in Odisha's Kendrapara district today, the police said.
The incident took place at Basapur village when the student, Abinash Jana (19), travelling to college on a bike was run over by a vehicle.
Jana who was a student of a government-run college in Chandol village, died on the spot.
The vehicle that hit him fled the scene, the police said.
Search was on to nab the driver of the vehicle, the police added.
