Student shot dead in Gorakhpur

A teenage student was shot dead by unidentified persons in Jhagaha area of Gorakhpur district, police said today.

A body bearing bullet wounds was found in the jungles of Jhagaha area yesterday and the dead was later identified as Vipin (18), a student of 10th class in Chauri-Chaura college.

The body has been sent for postmortem and police has launched hunt to nab assailants.
