Student who won bronze in athletic championship honoured

Coimbatore Mayor P Rajkumar today congratulated a class 12 student of a corporation school here for winning bronze in high jump in the recently concluded Asian School Athletic championship at China.

The student, N Vivekanandan, student of Siddhapudur Corporation High School, had won bronze in under 19 high jump held on June 29, official sources said.

Vivekanandan met Rajkumar, who adorned him with a shawl and lauded his achievement, saying it was a proud moment for the Coimbatore Corporation.

Corporation Commissioner, Dr Vijay Karthikeyan and other senior officials were present.
