Submission of tenants' mandatory in JK

In a bid to create better security environment, Jammu and Kashmir government has directed property owners in Jammu district to submit particulars of their tenants to police for verification with immediate effect.

District Magistrate Ajeet Kumar Sahu has ordered that no property owner would let, sub-let or rent out any accommodation without informing the Station House Officer (SHOs) concerned under whose jurisdiction the premises fall.

Property dealers are also required to inform in writing to the SHOs concerned.
