Sugar price closes quiet on some support

Sugar prices settled quiet at the wholesale market in the national capital today following adequate stocks against scattered demand.

Marketmen said ample stocks position against restricted buying by bulk consumers mainly kept sugar prices unaltered.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal)

Sugar retail markets - Rs 37.00-40.00 per kg.

Sugar ready: M-30 Rs 3,860-4,030, S-30 Rs 3,850-4,020.

Mill delivery: M-30 Rs 3,540-3,800, S-30 Rs 3,530-3,790.

Sugar millgate (including duty): Mawana Rs 3,715, Kinnoni Rs 3,800, Asmoli Rs 3,755, Dorala Rs 3,715, Budhana Rs 3,720, Thanabhavan Rs 3,715, Dhanora Rs 3,705, Simbholi Rs 3,750, Khatuli Rs 3,775, Dhampur Rs 3,665, Ramala Rs 3,550, Anupshaher Rs 3,540, Baghpat Rs 3,595, Morna Rs 3,585, Sakoti Rs 3,670, Chandpur Rs 3,645, Nazibabad Rs 3,575, Modinagar 3,705, Shamli 3,715, and Nanota 3,540.
