Sugar rule stable in listless trade

Sugar prices, both medium and small varieties ruled stable in an otherwise listless Vashi wholesale market here today in the absence of any major buying activity as well as ample supply position.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,702/2,825 (Rs 2,702/2,825).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,792/2,652 (Rs 2,792/2,652).
