Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today launched two android-based mobile Apps to facilitate filing and tracing of various types of application to police.
The two 'Apps' - PP Saanjh and Know Your Police - would facilitate users get information about several types of applications they file to the police, he said.
Information about untraced reports, verification report, no objection certificate (NOC), police clearance certificate, passport verification status, lost articles registration, complaint registration, and 'know my complaint' will be made available on these two Apps, he said.
The Deputy CM, who also holds the home portfolio as well, said, "We must prepare our state police for the challenges of future to make it most professional force of the country equipped with latest gadgets and IT techniques."
These 'Apps' developed by 'Saanjh' wing of state police could be downloaded from Google play store.
Director General of Police Suresh Arora said, earlier applicants had to apply for these services by visiting a 'Saanjh Kender' but now they can get the status of their applications on mobile and download final certificates or NOCs.
