Sumitra Mahajan greets nation on eve of Independence Day

Greeting the country on the eve of Independence Day, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today urged people to dedicate themselves to the values of harmony, brotherhood and mutual trust.

Urging people to renew their pledge to nation building, she hoped that this Independence Day, people will unite to make India vibrant and a strong world power.

"I greet all my brothers and sisters on the auspicious occasion of the 70th anniversary of our freedom.

"It is a day to renew our pledge to the pious task of nation-building and to rededicate to the noble values of brotherhood, harmony and mutual trust," she said in a statement.
