Sun Group, a media conglomerate owned by Kalanidhi Maran, today announced a donation of Rs one crore to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for flood relief operations in Jammu and Kashmir.
"Sun group would like to express its solidarity with the Prime Minister and the people of India by dedicating our contribution in all humility to the distressed fellow citizens of Jammu and Kashmir," Group CFO SL Narayanan said here in a statement.
The contribution was to supplement the resources required for relief operations in the state, he added.
Sun group runs television channels in multiple languages, FM radio stations, newspapers besides a Direct to Home (DTH) service.
