Suspecting affair with wife, man murders taxi driver

A man was arrested for allegedly murdering a taxi driver after suspecting him for having illicit relationship with his wife, police said here today.

Anil (36), arrested by the Crime Branch yesterday, used to object the driver Darshan's illicit relationship with his wife, they said.

On July 18, Anil along with his four friends shot dead Darshan near a temple near IGI Airport.

"Anil was aware that Darshan would visit a temple near IGI Airport before getting on with his work. The accused conducted a recce of the area and attacked him with gun on July 18," said a senior police officer.
 

"We have arrested Anil and launched a manhunt to nab other accused involved in the murder of Darshan," he added.

The accused has revealed to police that the relationship his wife shared with Darshan was over seven years old.

In 2007 Darshan had also shot dead Anil's brother Naveen in Agra for objecting to their illicit relationship, police added.
