Suzuki Motorcycle launches V-Strom at Rs 7.46 lakh

Japanese two-wheeler maker Suzuki Motorcycle Thursday launched its adventurer tourer V-Strom 650XT ABS bike in the country, priced at Rs 7.46 lakh.

Equipped with 645 cc V-twin engine, new bike comes with features such as tubeless tyres, informative multi-function instrument panel, fuel injection system, a 20-litre fuel tank and LED tail lights, among others, the company said in a release.

V-Strom 650XT ABS, which is being assembled in India, is the third offering from Suzuki Motorcycle India in the current financial year.

Largest software exporter TCS Thursday said multilateral lender New Development Bank (NDB) has deployed its solutions for its treasury operations.

 

It did not reveal the commercial details of the deal.

"For a bank to develop conventional infrastructure as well as to take maximum advantage of transformative technological developments as they happen at high speed and large scale, a flexible and digital backbone is essential," Leslie Maasdorp, chief financial officer, NDB, said in a release.

Global technology platform and digital payments leader PayPal Thursday announced the launch of its first merchant-focused application in India, PayPal for Business.

This app will help small and medium merchants and freelancers conduct their domestic and cross-border business on the go, backed by PayPal's risk and security platform, it said in a statement.

With the launch of the new app, PayPal aims to tackle the entire backend of small businesses through technology.

******************** Zee launches OTT platform Zee5 globally *

Media firm Zee Entertainment Enterprises Thursday said it has launched its over-the-top (OTT) service Zee5 in over 190 countries.

It has done a soft launch soft globally with 100,000 hours of multi-lingual content, a release said.

"With the launch of Zee5 across 190 plus markets, we have moved into the next phase of our growth story," said Amit Goenka, chief executive officer, Zee International and Z5 Global.
