Taraji P Henson engaged to Kelvin Hayden

"Empire" star Taraji P Henson is engaged to former Super Bowl-winning NFL star Kelvin Hayden.

The 47-year-old actor took to Instagram to make the announcement.

"I said yes y'all! He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my #Mothersday gift and then he dropped to his knee and I almost passed out! #sheisofficiallyoffthemarket and she is so HAPPY!" Henson wrote.

The actor also shared a photograph of a dessert plate with cake and chocolate covered strawberries had a message that read, "Congratulations".

Hayden, 34, shared a picture of the couple together - where one can see the actor sitting on top of his shoulders - on social media.

 

In December last year, Henson confirmed that she is in a relationship with the former American football cornerback. They started dating in 2015.

She has son Marcell, 24, from her marriage with high-school sweetheart, William Lamar Johnson, who was murdered in 2003.
