Teacher held on charge of arms smuggling

Acting on a tip off, the house of Ajay Kumar was raided and he was taken into custody, police said, adding that two pistols were also seized.

The teacher had allegedly tried to destroy evidence by throwing a large number of weapons into a well after he got wind of the police raid.

Efforts were on to take out the weapons from the well, they added.
