Teenaged girl raped in moving vehicle

A teenaged girl was allegedly abducted and gang-raped by four persons in a moving vehicle in the Phulpur area of the district, police said today.

The incident took place yesterday when the class XII student, on her way back home from a tuition class, was abducted by the accused and gang-raped by them, Superintendent of Police Arvind Sen said.

The victim was recovered four hours later by police, who found her in an unconscious state near Pallia village, he said.

The girl had been admitted to hospital, the SP said, adding that a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
