Winter has started to set in as most parts of Rajasthan witnessed a dip in temperature with the arrival of Arabian sea-borne moisture, while sole hill station of the state, Mount Abu, was the coldest place with 7.4 degree Celsius.
Mercury may further dip and fog or mist may occur in parts of north-east Rajasthan in the next 24 hrs, according to a Meteorological department forecast.
Night temperature suddenly dipped by one to six degrees at many places in the state as a weak western disturbance passed from the state giving clear sky condition and arrival of moisture form Arabian sea, the official said.

Jaipurites also experienced chilly morning as mercury plummeted by about 5 degree C and was recorded at 12.4 degree C.
Meanwhile, Sikar recorded 9 degree c, Bikaner 9.9, Sriganganagar 10.2, Udaipur 10.6, Ajmer 10.7 and Barmer 13.5 degree C.
