Temple flag hoisted
The famous Thaipoosam
festival of Samayapuram Mariamman temple near here began today with the hoisting of the temple flag.
The temple priests hoisted the flag after performing special poojas.
The presiding deity would be taken around the temple daily during the festival,concluding on February 3.
