Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand would pay a days visit to Unakoti, an ancient Shaivite place of worship in Tripura with huge rock reliefs celebrating Shiva, on November 27, official sources said here Friday.
Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb held a high level meeting Thursday evening with chief secretary L K Gupta, Director General of Police, A K Shukla and other high officials to take stock of the preparations for the Princes visit, Chief Ministers Media Advisor, Sanjay Mishra said.
"On November 25 she (Princess) would come to India and on November 27, she would reach here in the morning. Girls and boys from indigenous community dressed in traditional attire would to receive her along with the chief minister. From airport she would fly to Unakoti and Deb would accompany her," Mishra said.
Unakoti, an eighth century rock cut carvings on the Raghnandan hills has many rock images of Gods and Goddesses. It is around 190 km from here.
