Thane mayor annoyed over non-recruitment of teachers

Thane mayor Sanjay More today alleged that the school department was indifferent to vacancies of teachers in English medium classes in the municipal schools.

More directed the officials to submit a report on this within eight days.

In a press release, More said he had followed up the issue of recruitment of teachers with the officials, but the latter were apathetic.

After the general Body of the corporation passed a resolution to recruit teaching staff for English classes nine months ago, there was no further move, he said.
