The Simpsons theme park to open in Florida

Popular animated series The Simpsons are heading to Florida as bosses at Universal Studios prepare to open a theme-park version of the dysfunctional family's hometown of Springfield.
Fans of the long-running animated series will be able to visit the new attraction based on the fictional town, reported New York Daily News.
With an existing Simpsons Ride at its heart, the park will boast new additions including Moe's Tavern, Lard Lad Donuts store and the Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop.

"Fans will literally be able to live and breathe Springfield as they visit the statue of Jebediah, enjoy a Krusty Burger and have a seat at Moe's Tavern," said Jeffrey Godsick, president of Fox Consumer Products.
The attraction will open over the summer.
