Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today said that 90 km long Theog-Hatkoti highway in the state would be completed on time.
The chief minister was presiding over the closing ceremony of a three-day Wrestling Championship at Kotkhai in district Shimla.
He said the Rs 321-crore World Bank aided project was already running behind schedule by six years as the company which had got the contract, failed to show progress and the contract was cancelled.

Now the contract has been given to another company, he said.
The chief minister said the government was committed to provide road connectivity in the entire state and ensure that the roads, especially in apple and other fruit growing areas were properly maintained.
Stressing the need to promote the rural games, he said Wrestling was a popular sport and the government would create sports infrastructure in rural areas to encourage and promote the budding talents to compete in national and international events.
He said since Volleyball requires less paraphernalia and small grounds, every panchayat of the state would be provided play grounds for promoting volleyball.
Singh said the players from Himachal Pradesh were performing well at national and international level and recently the shooters of the state and the Kabaddi players brought laurels for the country by winning medals in the Asian Games.
Jeewan Kumar from Jogindernagar in Mandi district won gold medal in Power-lifting Championship in Las Vegas in the US while Ajit Singh from Rait and Dhruv Singh from Bhawarna in district Kangra had won Silver medals in the same event.
He congratulated the players for achieving the feat at International level.
