Three budding poets from Maharashtra have been selected for the first Vishakha awards instituted in the memory of late poet Kusumagraja alias V V Shirwadkar.
Yogini Satarkar-Pande (Nanded), Mohan Kumbhar (Sindhudurg) and Vishnu Thore (Nashik) have been selected for the award, which will be presented tomorrow on the occasion of Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din, said Dinesh Bhonde, registrar of YCMOU today.
Yogini got the award for her poem 'Janivanche Hirave Kombh', while Kumbhar was named for his collection 'Jaganyachi Gatha' and Thore for 'Dhulpera Usavata'.
