Three get life term for murdering advocate

A district court here today awarded life sentence to three persons in a seven-year-old murder case of a government advocate, police said.

District Judge Arun Kumar found the three guilty in killing government advocate Ramnaresh Sharma in Begusarai district and ordered life sentence for them, they said, adding, a penalty of Rs 50,000 has been imposed on each of them.

Three others, however, have been acquitted due to lack of evidence, police said.

The trio, identified as Chandan Kumar, Amarnath Chaudhary and Mukesh Kumar Singh murdered the advocate shooting him at his home in Pokharia locality of Begusarai district on November 8, 2007.
