Three of family killed in car accident in UP

Three members of a family were today killed when the car they were travelling in lost hit a tree near Chirkutti village in Raniganj area here, police said.

The family was returning home after paying obeisance at Vidhyachal temple when the car lost control and hit a tree killing Krishna Kumar Pandey (55), his wife Sheela (50), and daughter Ragini (25) they said.

Their son Ajit Pandey and grandson son Hitesh (9) were injured in the accident and have been admitted to a hospital, police said, adding, their condition is stated to be stable.
