Three persons lost their lives in two separate accidents in Vaishali district of Bihar today, the police said.
The first mishap occurred on National Highway - 77 under Bhagwanpur police station when an ambulance collided with a truck.
Bhagwanpur Station House Officer (SHO) Dilip Kumar said the ambulance was returning to Patna after dropping a patient at Muzaffarpur and ambulance driver Sitaram Prasad (50) and his assistant Ishwar Kumar (28) died in the accident.

In the other mishap, a 70-year-old person was killed when a motorcycle travelling at high speed hit him near Mahnar Bazar area under Mahnar police station.
"The deceased, Rajendra Sahni was returning to Mahisaur village under Jandaha police station after attending the funeral of a fellow villager, when a bike hit him. Sahni died on the spot. The bike rider escaped after the incident," Mahnar SHO Bhagirath Prasad said.
All the three bodies have been sent for postmortem and FIRs have been registered in connection with both the accidents.
