Three sentenced to 3 yr imprisonment in bank theft case

Three persons were sentenced to three years imprisonment by a local court in a 2012 bank theft case.

Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Billawar, yesterday convicted the three -- Mohammad Anjum, Rafiq and Saleem -- and also imposed a fine of Rs 3000 each on them, a police spokesman said Sunday.

In case of default of payment, their imprisonment will be extended by three months, the spokesman said.

The trio had stolen three computer systems from a bank on the intervening night of November 28 and 29, 2012.
