Three teenagers drown, one missing in river Ganga

Three teenagers today drowned, while one other went missing in river Ganga in Bihar's Lakhisarai district, police said.

The incident occurred when four cousin brothers had gone to take bath in the river, when one of them slipped into deep waters, Superintendent of Police Arvind Thakur said.

All the three youths drowned in an effort to save each other, he said.

The deceased have been identified as Roshan Kumar (16), Rinku Kumar (13) and Pranav Kumar (17), the SP said.

Local villagers fished out the bodies, Thakur said, adding, efforts are on to trace the fourth boy, Shivam Kumar (14).
 

The bodies of the three teenagers have been sent for post-mortem.
