Three youths, all relatives, drowned in sea while another went missing in Prakasam district of Andhra Pradesh today, police said.
The incident occurred at around 3.30 pm when five youths, all in their 20s, went for bathing in the sea after attending a function at Potti Subbaiah Palem beach of Vetapalem mandal of the district, they said.
"Three of the youths drowned in the sea while another went missing even as one of them managed to swim across," Chirala Rural Circle Inspector Papa Rao said.
Three bodies have been recovered.
A case has been registered and further investigations are on.
