Tin, zinc surge on sustained demand

Tin and zinc prices surged at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists buying amid sustained demand from alloy industries.

Elsewhere, lead also recovered owing to renewed demand from alloy industries.

Tin prices firmed up by Rs 15 per kg to Rs 1,450 from Wednesday's close Rs 1,435 and zinc prices advanced by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 199 as against Rs 194 yesterday.

Lead prices regained by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 140 as compared Rs 137 yesterday.
