In a joint operation by Assam Rifles and Assam Police, self-styled chairman of Tiwa Liberation Army (TLA) Sanjit Amsong alias Bidyut Amsong was arrested in Nagaland, a senior police official said today.
Superintendent of Police, Morigaon, Swapnanil Deka said Amsong was taken into custody at Tuensung in Nagaland yesterday.
The extremist outfit operating from Central Assam was planning subversive activities in Nagaland, the SP said.
Interrogation of the militant is going at Morigaon after he was brought here.
