TMC polling agent dies, 6 injured in clash

A Trinamool Congress activist was killed and six others injured in a clash between CPI(M) and TMC supporters over fake voting charges in Nazirpur, police said today.

Isha Khan, who was the polling agent at Manikchak booth during yesterday's polls, was injured along with six others in the clash between CPI(M) and TMC in Nazirpur in morning.

Khan and other injured, all stated to be TMC supporters, were taken to Malda hospital where Khan died this noon.

The clashes broke out as both sides traded false voting charges this morning.

Five persons have been arrested in connection with the incident.
