RJD chief Lalu Prasad today said though elections in the states are scheduled later this month and in December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on foreign "sojourn".

"Desh mein chunav hai, aur Modi bidesh mein ghum rahein ein (Modi is on foreign sojourn in between elections)," Prasad said, addressing an election rally in Latehar in support of his party candidate.

"Modi has come to power through false assurances to the youth. Where are the employment opportunities?" the former Bihar chief minister asked.

Recalling his erstwhile RJD government in Bihar stopping L K Advani's 'rath' at Samastipur, Prasad said Trinamool Congress, Samajwadi Party, JD(U) and RJD were uniting to "stop communal forces" in the country.

"Mamata, Mulayam, Nitish, Sharad aur mein ek ho chukein hein (we have all come together) and we will expose Modi's kala chitha (designs)," Lalu said.
