worker, having been shot at Bongaon in North 24 parganas district, today died at a Kolkata hospital.

A top police officer said Yunis Mondal (50), who had been shot at and injured at Gopalnagar locality in the district by some miscreants, died at the R G Kar hospital today.

A four hour blockade on Bongaon Road in protest against the death disrupted vehicular traffic and marred Diwali and Bhai Phonta festivities in the area.
