Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K Palaniswami today condoled the death of three persons killed in a wall collapse in Nagappatinam district and announced a sum of Rs five lakh to a seven year-old survivor.

Palaniswami said he had directed that a sum of Rs five lakh be deposited in the Tamil Nadu Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited as relief for the seven year-old daughter of the couple killed in the wall collapse.

Monthly interest from the sum would be used for the child's expenses, he said in a statement.

Three members of the family were killed when the wall of their house at Thiruvavaduthurai village collapsed due to heavy rains.
