The 35th Annual Convocation of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) here will be held on August 26.
Robert S Zeigler, Director General, International Rice Research Institute, Manila and Dr C Adinarayana Reddy, Prof. Emeritus, Michigan University, USA, will be conferred honorary doctorates at the convocation, to be presided over by Tamil Nadu Governor and TNAU Chancellor Dr K Rosaiah.
Dr P Balaram, Former Director, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, will deliver the convocation address and state Agriculture Minister, Agri S S Krishnamoorthy, also the Pro-Chancellor of TNAU, will announce Endowment prizes and medals, a university release said today.
A total number of 1,234 candidates in person and 287 in absentia will be awarded degree certificate during the convocation, it said.
