Tobey Maguire, wife Jennifer Meyer separate

Actor Tobey Maguire and wife Jennifer Meyer have decided to separate after 9 years of marriage.

The exes who met in 2003, are parents to nine-year-old daughter Ruby Maguire and son Otis Maguire, 7, reported People magazine.

"After much soul searching and consideration we have made the decision to separate as a couple. As devoted parents, our first priority remains raising our children together with enduring love, respect and friendship," Maguire and Jennifer said in a joint statement.

The actor, 41, and the jewelry designer, 39, are based in California.
