In a bid to address issues relating to transport department, Delhi government will hold a public hearing at Burari in north Delhi tomorrow.
Transport minister Gopal Rai will also hear problems of department employees.
According to a government official, this initiative has been undertaken to get a first-hand account of the field functioning of the department and to solve the problems faced by employees since many years.
Rai has told the department that it is critical for it to understand the issues faced by employees who undertake important duties of running an integral component of the public transport for the national capital.
The minister has directed all concerned officials to be present at the public hearing to ensure that issues which can be resolved at the spot must be instantly done.
