Transporter gets death threat, extortion demand

A transporter has allegedly got a death threat from a criminal who demanded him to pay an extortion money of Rs 2 lakh, the police said today.

Babli Sharma, who runs a transport business in Kherli area of Greater Noida, alleged that a person entered his office last evening and demanded Rs 2 lakh.

The person allegedly threatened to kill Sharma if he fails to pay the amount, the police said, adding that an FIR has been lodged against the accused, who is said to be a history-sheeter.
