"The allegations made by Yechury are baseless, false and motivated and aimed at tarnishing the image of the state government," Tripura BJP general secretary Pratima Bhowmick told a press conference here.
Yechury at a press conference here yesterday had alleged that "After the BJP-IPFT government came to power in Tripura four workers of CPI-M were murdered, ransacking of party offices and harassment of party cadres by the BJP-RSS workers continue. All these show that law and order has collapsed in the state."
Bhowmick claimed that peace prevailed in the state ever since the BJP-IPFT government came to power and law and order situation has improved as the new government announced zero tolerance to crime.
She also denied the allegations of Yechuri that four CPI(M) workers were murdered by BJP activists after the state election was over.
"Post poll violence was a CPI(M) phenomenon. Ever since any election held in the state with CPI(M) at the helm of affairs, post poll violence had occurred. At least 11 BJP activists were killed before 2018 Assembly elections by the goons of CPI-M," she said.
"She won gold medal at FIG World Challenge Cup in Mersin, Turkey yesterday and brought the laurel for the state. She is the golden girl of the state and made us proud. If she becomes brand ambassador of the state, our state will also be proud," Bhowmick said.
"Congratulations to Dipa Karmakr on winning the gold medal in the vault event at the FIG World Challenge Cup in Mersin, Turkey," Deb had tweeted yesterday.
