TRS MP K Kavitha gifts brother KTR helmet on Raksha Bandhan

MP K Kavitha today tied rakhi and gifted her brother and Minister for Industries and IT a helmet to promote road safety.

Raksha Bandhan was celebrated with traditional fervour across the state today.

According to a statement issued by the member, she has started a campaign to "gift your brother a helmet this rakhi" which is getting immense support.

The campaign is aimed at spreading awareness to curb two-wheeler accidents and wearing helmet to have a safe ride.

Prominent personalities that include central ministers and Smriti Irani, shuttlers Jwala Gutta and Saina Nehwal, cricketers Mithali Raj, Virendra and Gautam and Chief Ministers of and have supported the campaign started by Kavitha.

Lakhs of people have supported Kavitha's campaign in which she has appealed to all the sisters to gift a helmet to their brothers and spread awareness on curbing two-wheeler accidents, it said.

Raksha Bandhan was also celebrated in BJP office in presence of union minister Bandaru Dattatreya.
