TV channel MD arrested for holding staff salaries

Managing Director of a local television channel was arrested by Cyberabad Police today on charge of non-payment of salaries to employees.

Chigurupati Jayaram, owner of Techtran Polylenses Ltd and MD, Express TV, was arrested by Special Operation Team in connection with alleged non-payment of employees salaries / compensation amounts to the removed employees as per the agreement between them, according to a release issued by the police tonight.

"Chigurupathi Jayaram is allegedly involved in other cases which are being investigated by the CID of Telangana Police," the release added.
