Two absconding gold smugglers held

Two persons, who were arrested in connection with gold smuggling cases at Kozhikode International Airport in 2013 and jumped bail, have been arrested, a customs official said today.

Arafath P F, a native of Kasaragod, was arrested from Kanhangad on April 17 while Naushad Abdulla was nabbed yesterday while he was about to board a bus to Bengaluru from Kasaragod, Customs Commissioner Sumit Kumar said.

Both have been remanded to judicial custody.
