Two arrested on rape charges in Gurgaon

Two persons, including a minor, have been arrested on rape charges in separate cases here, police said today.

In the first incident, 40-year-old Surjeet was arrested for allegedly raping his 13-year-old daughter at Nathupur village under DLF II Police Station, police said.

An FIR was lodged on the complaint of the wife of the accused, following which he was arrested, police said, adding, Surjeet was produced before a Judicial Magistrate who sent him to 14 days of judicial custody.

In the second incident, 17-year-old Vijay had raped a nine-year-old girl from his neighbourhood.

The police got the information last night and reached the spot and arrested the culprit under Section 376 IPC (rape) and relevant sections of POSCO Act.
 

Vijay is a relative of the victim, police said.
