Two brothers were today hit by a DTC bus in South Delhi's Mahipalpur area leading to the death of one while the other was in a critical condition.
According to the police, the brothers Pinku and Sonu lived in Mahipalpur here and were scrap collectors by profession.
The incident occurred in front of Radisson Hotel when the two were returning home after the day's work. The bus coming from Gurgaon hit their push-cart, tossing them to a side and injuring them seriously.
After the locals of the area informed the police, the two were taken to a nearby hospital where Pinku was declared dead by the doctors.
Sonu was referred to the AIIMS trauma centre.
Police arrested the bus driver, Ashutosh, and has lodged a case of rash and negligent driving against him.
