Two criminals killed in road mishap

Two persons involved in various criminal cases, were killed in a road accident on Gola-Lakhimpur road Gola kotwali area when their motorbike was a hit by a speeding vehicle, police said today.

The duo died on the spot late last night, they said.

The deceased were later identified as Pradeep Tewari (27) of Sherpur in Kheri and Sonu (28) of Banda in Shahjahanpur district, police said.

Pradeep was a known history sheeter having over a dozen cases of loot, murder, dacoity, goonda act, arms act, theft while Sonu was also reported to be involved in a number of criminal cases, they said.
 

Pradeep was released from jail just a few days back on bail, police added.
