Two persons were killed when a tanker carrying milk and a pick up van collided head on near Anandanagar under Kalyani police station in Nadia district today, the police said.
The victims were identified as Bijay Das (32) and Indrajit Pandey (35), both residents of Nadia's Hanskhali area, said SDPO, Kalyani, Kaustuvdipta Acharya, adding Indrajit was the driver of the pick up van.
The driver of the tanker managed to flee the spot, but the vehicle has been seized, the police said.
