A speeding truck today hit four pedestrians in south east Delhi's Pul Prahladpur area, killing two people and injuring one, police said.
Suman (22), her uncle Barrister Tiwari (44), her cousins Nitin and Amit were on their way to Nangloi after attending a birthday party when the accident occurred on Sunday afternoon, the police said today.
The four were walking towards Tughalqabad Metro station to catch a train. The truck came from behind and hit them.
Police received a call about the accident at around 3 pm. They rushed Suman, Barrister and Nitin to a nearby hospital where the doctors declared Suman and Barrister dead, the police said.
Suman was a teacher while her uncle was an engineer.
