A 30-year-old woman and a teenage girl, out on a picnic with their family members at famous Juhu beach here, drowned in Arabian sea Sunday, police said.
The deceased, Maya Mahendra Singh (30) and Nisha (15), were residents of Sion in Central Mumbai, an official said.
According to the official, Singh and Nisha were warned by life guards posted at the beach against venturing into deep water this evening, but they apparently unheeded the warning.
Their bodies were recovered by life guards, he said.
