Two electrocuted to death in Azamgarh

A teacher and a student died after they came in contact with a high tension wire in Sagdi tehsil here, police said today.

The duo belonged to Vikram Chauhan Memorial College in Jahanaganj had come here to take part in a sports and cultural festival organised at a degree college in Jiyanpur Bazar when the mishap took place last night while they were taking a stroll, they said.

The victims were identified as Rina Chauhan (32) and Archana Chauhan (18), police said, adding the bodies have been sent for post mortem.
