Two persons were killed and 41 others injured in two accidents involving a container truck in the district, police said today.
Last night, a car carrying Abhishek Chatterjee (35) and his father collided with a container truck on Indore-Khandwa road, killing Abhishek, a local, on the spot, a police official posted in Simrol police station said.
Following the accident, the truck was parked by the roadside when in the wee hours today, a bus bound for Khandwa district collided with it, killing 50-year-old Meera, who hailed from Maharashtra, and injuring 40 others, he said.

The injured from both accidents were admitted to the Government M Y Hospital at Indore, the official said.
Police impounded the container truck and have registered a case in this regard.
