Two killed as bus plunges into river in central Nepal

Two passengers have been killed and eleven others have gone missing when a bus plunged into a river in central Nepal.
The incident occurred yesterday when a small bus heading towards Kathmandu from Narayagadh plunged into Trishuli River at Darechowk area along the Prithivi Highway, Nepal Police headquarters said.
Nine people have been rescued by security personnels with some help from locals, the police said. The bus was carrying 21 passengers.
In a separate incident, twenty-two passengers were injured when a speeding bus overturned on the road at Laxminiya of Mahottari district in southern Nepal. The bus was heading towards Gaighat from Kathmandu.
